The Hood was created to provide a gathering space in the heart of Paris, with music, community and creativity at its heart, serving Asian inspired food, specialty coffee and good vibes all day.


The Hood is looking for full-time (35H) energetic and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our friendly team.


You will work between our café and our production kitchen, both located on Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud 75011.


Shifts will include food prep, large volume production, and plating during café food service.


You will report directly to the Shop Manager and Head Chef/Owner.


Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the kitchen team by example in positive attitude and meticulous work ethic

• Respecting and implementing professional hygiene standards in all kitchen processes

• Supervising food costs and maintaining target margins

• Ensuring consistent quality across whole menu of products

• Ensuring consistent flow of production, especially at peak and high volume times

• Managing stock and inventory, and successfully projecting quantities

• Controlling, reducing and creating value out of wastage

• Upkeep of good maintenance of The Hood kitchen facility and any other sites we use during events

• Respecting the recipes and processes defined by the Head Chef

• Being an ambassador of The Hood brand and core values

Our ideal


Our ideal candidate:

• Will have at least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with ideally 1 year of supervisor experience

• Has a positive mindset and attitude to work

• Is clean and methodical in their approach to work and kitchen standards

• Has a good knowledge of seasonal produce, and preferably Asian dishes and flavours

• Is confident working fast and efficiently, producing large volumes at full capacity even when under pressure

• Is a team player and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty jumping in wherever needed

• Can be dynamic and juggle order of priority for tasks

• Is punctual, reliable and self-sufficient, and can work independently when needed

• Has strong understanding of French and English language

• Is looking to grow with our team for 12 months minimum


We are open 5 days a week with Saturdays and Sundays being our busiest days so weekend work is essential with days off midweek.
